The Altman Easy Latch is a direct-replacement bear jaw rotary claw latch kit for 1968–1972 Ford trucks. It is vehicle specific rather than universal: every component is made to work with the handles, lock cylinders and interior rods already in your doors, so the latches go in with no cutting and no welding.

It works with your existing exterior and interior handles, exterior lock cylinders and factory interior lock rods, so nothing else in the door has to change.

How do I know it fits my truck?

What if it is not right for the truck?
You have 30 days from delivery to return it by mail. Return shipping is on you, and the part needs to come back uninstalled and unmodified - once a part has been trimmed or welded it cannot go back. Made-to-order items are final sale. The full terms are on our returns page.
Can I install this myself?
It is designed for a home install with ordinary hand tools, and the fitment notes on this page list anything that needs drilling, trimming or welding. Where an installation guide or video exists for the part it is linked in the Installation tab.
