Returns, Shipping & Store Policies
Last updated 7 September 2026
These policies cover every order placed on lsfab.com — what you can return and when, how we ship, what our parts are warranted against, and what we do with your information. The version posted on the day you order is the version that governs that order.
- 30 daysTo request a returnFrom the delivery date, on new and uninstalled parts in their original packaging.
- 7–10 daysRefund after approvalBack to your original payment method once the return is received and inspected.
- 30 daysLimited warrantyOn parts we manufacture, against defects in material and workmanship.
- Final saleCustom & clearanceMade-to-order, cut-to-order and discounted items, except for a manufacturing defect.
Returns & refunds
What can be returned
- Parts must be new, unused, uninstalled and resellable, in their original packaging. For sheet metal, that includes the protective film still on the panel.
- Anything showing signs of installation, modification, machining, painting, drilling, damage or wear will not be accepted, at our discretion.
- Returns must be requested within 30 days of delivery unless we agree otherwise in writing.
- Only regular-priced goods qualify for a refund. Sale, clearance and discounted items are final sale, except where the law says otherwise.
- Custom, made-to-order, cut-to-order and personalised items — custom fabrication, custom-length sheet metal, upholstery ordered to your specification, and anything modified to your request — are final sale, except in the case of a manufacturing defect.
How to start a return
Email info@lsfab.com with your order number before shipping anything back. Returns that arrive without prior authorisation may be refused or delayed. Every return shipment must include a printed copy of the receipt or order confirmation showing the order number.
Return shipping
- Send returns by USPS. It is the route that avoids brokerage fees, duties and cross-border customs charges.
- Shipments sent by UPS, FedEx, DHL or a similar carrier that arrive with brokerage, duty or customs charges will have those costs deducted from the refund. If the charges exceed the value of the return, we may refuse the shipment.
- Return shipping is at your cost, unless the return is our error (wrong item shipped, defective product) or the law requires otherwise.
- Use insured, trackable shipping. Loss or damage in transit on a return is the sender's responsibility — we cannot refund goods we never receive.
Refunds
- Refunds are issued after the returned items are received and inspected.
- Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within 7–10 business days of approval. How quickly it appears on a statement is up to your bank or card issuer.
- Original shipping charges are not refunded.
- We may issue store credit instead of a cash refund, or apply a restocking fee on an accepted return, where the law permits.
Cancelling an order
- Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase, or any time before the order ships — whichever comes first — by emailing info@lsfab.com. Once it has shipped, the return policy above applies.
- We may cancel or refuse any order at our discretion — suspected fraud, a pricing or listing error, or stock that turns out to be unavailable — and will refund anything charged in full.

Shipping & delivery
Where your order ships from
LS Fabrication parts are made and shipped from our shop in New Norway, Alberta. A number of the brands we carry are shipped directly by the manufacturer or their warehouse, most of which are in the United States.
If your order mixes our own parts with supplier-fulfilled parts, it ships from more than one location. You will receive a tracking number for each parcel as it leaves, and the parcels will not arrive on the same day. This is normal and does not mean anything is missing.
Processing times
- In-stock LS Fabrication parts generally leave our shop within 1–3 business days.
- Made-to-order and custom fabrication is built after the order is placed. The current build time is shown on the product page or quoted by email before you order.
- Supplier-fulfilled parts generally leave the supplier's warehouse within 2–5 business days. We pass on tracking as soon as we receive it.
Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding Canadian statutory holidays. Processing time is separate from carrier transit time.
Rates and carriers
- Shipping is quoted at checkout from your address, the weight and size of the parts, and the shipping class of each item. Large panels and long sheet metal ship by freight and are rated accordingly.
- We ship by USPS, UPS, Canada Post and freight carriers, and choose the service that gets the part to you intact. Oversized panels are crated or built into a protective package where needed.
- Free shipping applies only where a valid free-shipping coupon or promotion is in effect on the order.
Addresses, delays and delivery problems
- Address changes must be emailed to info@lsfab.com within 6 hours of ordering and before the parcel ships. Once a carrier has it, we cannot redirect it.
- Refused or undeliverable parcels that come back to us have the outbound and return shipping cost deducted from any refund.
- Damage in transit: inspect the parcel on arrival. Report visible damage to us within 5 business days of delivery with photographs of the packaging and the part, keeping all packing material — carriers reject damage claims without it.
- Lost parcels: if tracking stops moving, contact us and we will open a trace with the carrier. Claims are resolved on the carrier's timeline, not ours.
- We are not responsible for carrier delays, weather, customs holds, or a parcel stolen after it is marked delivered.
Duties, taxes and cross-border orders
- Canadian customers are served by lsfab.ca, which prices and ships domestically.
- Orders shipping outside the country they ship from may be charged customs duties, import taxes or brokerage fees on arrival. Those charges are set by your government and carrier, are payable by you, and are not included in the amount you pay us.
- We are not responsible for delays caused by customs processing, and duties or brokerage charges are not refundable through us.
Warranty & fitment
Limited warranty
LS Fabrication warrants the products it manufactures to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 30 days from delivery, under normal use. The warranty does not cover:
- Damage from improper installation, misuse, modification, or normal wear and tear;
- Corrosion, rust or finish degradation from environmental exposure;
- Parts used off-road, in racing, or in any way inconsistent with their intended use;
- Third-party and supplier-shipped products, which carry the manufacturer's own warranty, where one exists.
Our only obligation under this warranty, at our discretion, is to repair the part, replace it, or refund what you paid for it.
Everything else is sold as-is
Apart from the limited warranty above, all products are sold “as is” and “as available”, with no other warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the maximum extent the law allows.
Fitment is not guaranteed
Products are listed as compatible with particular eras, makes and models based on manufacturer specifications and typical fitment. Individual trucks vary — previous repairs, non-factory parts, body damage, aftermarket alterations — so exact fitment cannot be guaranteed.
Check fitment before purchase and again before any modification or installation. Trimming, drilling or fabricating on a part ends its eligibility for return. If something does not sit right, stop and email us with photos before you go further.
Installation & liability
Who should install these parts
- Our products — hood hinges, door and hood latches, tailgate hardware, and any structural or load-bearing component in particular — are meant to be installed by a qualified, experienced fabricator or mechanic. Improper installation of hardware and structural components can cause component failure, property damage or injury.
- Parts are intended for restoration, fabrication, and off-road or show use. Use on public roads is at the owner's risk, and keeping the vehicle roadworthy and compliant with the regulations that apply to it is the owner's responsibility.
- By buying and using our products you accept the risk that comes with selecting, installing and using them, and acknowledge that we have no control over how a part is installed, modified, maintained or used after it leaves us.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, LS Fabrication, its owners, employees and contractors have no liability for injury to any person or damage to any property arising from the ownership, possession, installation or use of any product we sell. Our total liability on any claim arising from a purchase — in contract, warranty, tort or otherwise — is limited to the amount paid for the specific product the claim concerns. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including lost profit, loss of use, downtime or the cost of substitute goods, even if we were told such damages were possible.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold LS Fabrication, its owners, employees and contractors harmless from any claim, damage, liability, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of misuse of a product, improper or unlicensed installation, modification of a product, or a breach of these terms.
Prop 65 & safety
Our products can expose you to chemicals including lead, nickel and chromium, which are known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information, visit www.p65warnings.ca.gov.
- Aluminum products. Most aluminum alloys used in our billet and sheet metal parts contain trace lead, typically under 0.1%. Solid aluminum is generally inert, but the dust and fumes from cutting, grinding, drilling or welding can be hazardous if inhaled or ingested. Use proper ventilation and PPE when machining.
- Steel hardware — bolts, latches, hinges, including stainless components — may contain nickel and chromium, both listed by the State of California as causing cancer and reproductive harm.
- Coatings, patina products and finishes may contain chemicals listed under Proposition 65. Read the product's Safety Data Sheet, where one is available, before use.
Off-road and show use
Some products are sold for off-road, competition or show use only and are labelled as such on the product page. It is the buyer's responsibility to know and follow the road-use regulations that apply where the vehicle is registered and driven.
Ordering & website terms
By placing an order or using lsfab.com (the “website”) you agree to these terms with LS Fabrication (“we”, “us”, “our”).
Pricing and product information
We work hard at accuracy, but errors in pricing, descriptions and images happen. We may correct any error and cancel any order affected by a pricing or listing error, refunding anything charged in full. Prices on lsfab.com are in US dollars unless the page states otherwise.
Accounts
You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password to yourself. Tell us right away if you think someone else has access to it. We may suspend or close an account used for fraud, abuse, or in breach of these terms. Dealer accounts and dealer pricing are subject to approval and to the terms of the dealer agreement.
Payment disputes and chargebacks
If there is a problem with an order, email info@lsfab.com before starting a chargeback with your bank or card issuer — almost everything is sorted out faster that way. Chargebacks filed without contacting us first, or that we believe are fraudulent or in bad faith, will be disputed with order records, tracking and correspondence, and we may recover the associated costs and fees.
Product reviews and follow-up email
Ordering from us means you may receive one email within about two weeks of shipment inviting you to review what you bought, and a notification email if you asked to be told when an out-of-stock part returns. Both are optional and both carry an unsubscribe link.
Intellectual property
The content on this website — product photography, descriptions, drawings, graphics, layout and code — belongs to LS Fabrication and may not be copied, reproduced or used commercially without our written permission. Product names and marks belonging to other manufacturers are used only to describe fitment and remain the property of their owners.
Force majeure
We are not liable for delay or failure to perform caused by anything outside our reasonable control, including supplier delays, carrier disruption, material shortages, natural disasters, labour disputes or utility failure.
Privacy policy
This section explains what we collect, why, who else sees it and what you can ask us to do about it. It applies to lsfab.com and to orders placed with LS Fabrication. We do not sell your personal information.
What we collect
- Order and contact information — name, email, phone, billing and shipping address, and what you ordered.
- Account information — your login, order history, saved addresses, wishlist or build sheet, and dealer application details if you submit one.
- Payment information — handled by our payment processor. Card numbers are entered on their systems, not ours. We never see or store full card numbers.
- Messages you send us — email, contact and sample-request forms, product reviews and comments.
- Technical and usage data — IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site, and cookie identifiers.
Why we use it
- To take payment, fulfil and ship your order, and provide support and warranty service;
- To run accounts, dealer pricing, back-in-stock alerts and review invitations you have opted into;
- To send marketing email, where you have given us permission;
- To measure how the site is used, fix what is broken and improve the catalogue;
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and chargeback fraud;
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Who we share it with
We share only what a provider needs to do its job for us, and we do not sell your information or share it for anyone else's independent marketing.
Where your information is stored
LS Fabrication operates from Alberta, Canada, and this website and its order data are hosted on servers in the United States. Several of the providers above also operate in the United States and elsewhere. That means your information may be stored and processed outside your country and is subject to the laws of the country it is held in, including lawful access by courts and government authorities there.
How long we keep it
- Order, invoice and tax records — kept for at least six years, which is what Canadian tax law requires of us.
- Account information — kept while the account is open, and until you ask us to delete it.
- Marketing lists — kept until you unsubscribe, after which we keep a suppression record so we do not email you again by mistake.
- Support email — kept as long as it is useful for warranty and dispute history, then deleted.
Your rights
- Everyone. You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete your account information. Email info@lsfab.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify who you are first, and we may have to keep records the law requires us to keep.
- Canada (PIPEDA and provincial privacy law). You have the right to access and correct your personal information and to withdraw consent to non-essential uses. Complaints can be taken to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
- California (CCPA/CPRA). You may request access to, deletion of, or an accounting of the personal information we hold, and you will not be treated differently for asking. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA.
- Marketing email. Under Canada's anti-spam legislation we send commercial email only to people who have asked for it or bought from us. Every message carries an unsubscribe link and we act on it promptly.
Children
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
The site runs over encrypted connections and we take commercially reasonable measures to protect what we hold. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Cookies & advertising
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We use three kinds:
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time; blocking essential cookies will break the cart and checkout. Advertising preferences can be managed at Google My Ad Center. We honour a browser Global Privacy Control signal where we receive one.
Disputes & governing law
- Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
- Venue. Any dispute arising from these terms or a purchase is to be resolved in the courts of Alberta, Canada, and you consent to those courts' jurisdiction.
- Class action waiver. To the extent the law allows, disputes are resolved individually and you waive any right to take part in a class, collective or representative action against LS Fabrication.
- Talk to us first. Before any formal step, email info@lsfab.com with the order number and what went wrong. Nearly everything is resolved at that stage.
General provisions
- Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
- Entire agreement. These terms, together with the return, shipping, warranty and privacy sections above, are the whole agreement between you and LS Fabrication about your purchase.
- Changes. We may update these terms at any time. Continuing to use the website after a change is posted means you accept the revised terms, and the version in effect when you ordered governs that order.
- No waiver. Not enforcing a provision once does not mean we give up the right to enforce it later.
