Tailgate Saver Shock (Strut) – 88-98 GMC Chevy Truck

LS Fabrication's "Gate Saver" or Tailgate Assist Shock/Strut – 1988-1998 Chevy Truck adds eye catching customization to your OBS Chevy truck. The "Gate Saver" is an easy install and addition to the tailgate of your 88-98 Chevy truck.

The LS Fab Gate Saver for Chevy trucks slows the tailgate opening action. This allows your tailgate to open freely without slamming after unlatching.

You will now have a tailgate that opens like a brand new Chevy pickup!

Our OBS Gate Saver kit includes:

• ✅ 2x balls studs
• ✅ Jam nut for an easy install.
• ✅ Works with tailgate cables on both sides of the tailgate

The Tailgate Saver will work with both tailgate straps and cables. However, in the case of tailgate straps, removal of the driver side tailgate strap is required to install. Please use your discretion on the weight capabilities with a single tailgate strap.

NOTE: Box liners, tailgate caps, excessive body work, and / or anything adding weight to tailgate will affect the rate of fall on tailgate.
