Tucked Aluminum Radiator – 47-54 Chevy GMC Truck

Do you need more room in the engine bay of your LS swapped 1947-1953 Chevrolet 3100 pickup or are you just fed up with the cheap imported aluminum radiators that leak or don't perform like they say they will? We have just the solution, our "tucked" radiator package gains you a substantial amount of clearance between the fan shroud and the front drive system & only requires removing the front "X" brace of the core support and drilling holes to mount in most cases.

The core for this custom built performance radiator features 2 rows of 1.25" tubes. The tubes are spaced 3/8" apart, on center. With 3/8" centers we are able to put more rows of tubes, fins, and coolant volume in the core as well as create more surface area for air to travel over; allowing for greater heat dissipation. Don't be fooled by imported budget radiators offered with more rows of tubes. Our radiator design has been proven to offer the most cooling available for the size.

  • ★ LS Hose fittings and placement, so no need for reducer or adaptor hoses. 1 1/4" Upper & 1 1/2" lower fitting (SBC Option coming soon!)
  • ★ Integrated LS steam port fitting on upper tank
  • ★ Gooseneck fill with billet machined filler neck - allows for custom radiator/coresupport covers to be made and makes for a clean top reveal with no filler cap visible
  • ★ Tested to work for stock core supports, aftermarket core supports and with Absolute Sheetmetal's hotrod core supports with minimal modifications

Options:

Fan Choice:

★ Spal Brushed fan & shroud - best for lower horsepower engine packages & cooler climates that dont require as much cooling.

★ Spal Brushless fan and shroud - OEM technology Brushless fans have revolutionized cooling in hotrods. These fans have a superior CFM flow to their brushed equivalents and use considerably less power. They have soft start to minimize the abuse on your electrical system and offer variable speed control so they will only run at the speed needed to cool your motor ranging from 850-2500rpm. If it is in the budget, we recommend brushless fans for any level of engine performance or style of driving. Now includes a more powerful 500 watt brushless fan, giving you a high-performance fan at a minimum electrical load!

 

Transmission Cooler:

★ No Cooler - For manual transmissions or guys running external transmission coolers

★ Standard Cooler - Good for stock engines not running bigger stall torque converters

★ Heavy Duty Cooler - Best for motors with aggressive cams & higher stall torque converters. Good option for warm weather climates and high performance driving. Can be used in conjunction with an external cooler for extreme condition setups. Keeping your transmission cool not only improves the performance but also drastically extends the life.

 

AC Condenser:

★ No Condenser - Option if you are not running AC or are going to fabricate your own condenser setup

★ Include AC Condenser - Help make your install easier by adding an AC Condenser to your order. Save the time, money and hassle of having to figure out your own setup. Comes with a 12"x14" Super Flo condenser mounted in a removable aluminum frame for serviceability. Equipped with industry standard Top: #8 Male insert (3/4"-16) Bottom: #6 Male insert (5/8"-18). This can be easily used with all popular AC brands on the market such as but not limited to "Vintage Air" or "Old Air Products".

 

Radiator Cap:

★ 16 PSI radiator cap engineered to work perfectly with our filler neck. This is a two piece kit and comes unassembled with a polished aluminum cap that can be clocked and installed when ready.
