This bead rolled heater delete panel covers the factory heater box opening in the driver-side firewall of a 1967–1972 Chevy or GMC truck. Lay it over the firewall you already have, or butt weld it in for a flush, clean look if your fabrication skills are up to it.

Installation
Lay the panel over the top of your existing firewall and weld or rivet it down, or cut the heater box opening out and butt weld the panel in for a flush finish. Either way it is meant to be an easy job for the do-it-yourselfer.

Does the panel arrive finished, or does it need work?
It ships bare, ready for you to fit and then prep and paint, coat or cover however suits the build.
Can I bolt it in instead of welding?
It depends on the panel. Several go in more than one way - laid over the existing panel, butt welded, screwed, riveted or bonded - and the Features list and installation notes on this page say what this one is set up for.
How much fitting should I expect?
Test fit before anything is welded or drilled. Fifty years of body work, previous repairs and factory tolerance mean no two cabs or beds are identical, so expect some final fitting to your own truck.
How do I know it fits my truck?

How long before it ships?
It is a stock item and generally ships within 1-3 business days. Carrier transit time is on top of that, and larger orders can arrive in more than one box on different days.
What if it is not right for the truck?
You have 30 days from delivery to request a return. The part needs to come back new, uninstalled and in its original packaging - once a part has been trimmed or welded it cannot go back.
