Hood hinges wear out. The metal fatigues, the springs weaken, and the hood ends up sitting crooked or dropping when you don't want it to. This CVF billet hinge set replaces the factory hinges on 1967–1972 Chevrolet and GMC C/K trucks with a machined assembly that holds its alignment and holds the hood up on its own.

Do I have to modify the hood or inner fenders?
No. The hinge bodies bolt into the factory hinge locations, and the six-axis adjustment is built into the hinge itself, so hood gaps can be set without pulling the hood off the truck.
Do they hold the hood up on their own?
Yes. Gas struts are part of the hinge assembly, so the hood stays up without a prop rod, and the pivots run on sealed bearings.
How long is the lead time?
Around 7-10 days on the standard finish. Ceramic clear coat, Stealth Black and Black Diamond are finished to order and can run 4-6 weeks.
Is there a warranty?
The hinges carry CVF's limited lifetime warranty. Keep your invoice - it is what a claim is processed against.

I haven’t installed them yet but the quality looks excellent and the shipping was very quick. They look exactly like others I saw that were $200 more expensive.
they look great have not installed them yet the 400lbs shocks are way to much will need to swap them out for diff set went installed
