About RainGear
RainGear wiper systems replace the vacuum and early electric wiper setups these trucks left the factory with. The original systems were marginal when new; sixty years on, a vacuum wiper slows to a stop every time you climb a hill under throttle.
A RainGear kit puts a modern 12V motor and linkage behind the dash where you cannot see it, running the original wiper arms at a speed that actually clears water. Kits are listed for 1947-1954 and 1955-1959 Chevy and GMC, 1967-1972 Chevy and GMC, and 1948-1952 and 1953-1955 Ford trucks.
