Description
This ABS headliner kit replaces the cardboard headliner in the cab of a 1954–1955 Chevy or GMC truck. It comes as four molded ABS pieces in black.

This kit does not include the center and rear metal bow strips.
This is the cab with the single one-piece windshield, which has a softer curved front profile rather than the V of the two-piece glass. It uses a floating center trim: the trim slides over the front panel, then the rear panel slides into the back side of the trim. The weather stripping sits in a welded channel around the door and slides into place with no screw-in fasteners, the center trim is farther back in the cab, and the factory provided no filler strips for the pillar gaps between the windshield and door weather stripping, leaving the metal exposed.

Common questions
Do the holes line up with the factory ones?
They are moulded to the factory pattern, and most installs go in with the original fasteners. Some trucks need the holes opened up very slightly with a drill - a common enough report that it is worth having a step bit on the bench before you start.
Can they be covered or painted?
They are supplied ready to install for a stock look. If you are covering them, do the covering before the panel goes in the truck, not after.
How do I know it fits my truck?
This part is listed for 1954–1955 Chevy and GMC 3100, 3600, 3800 and Suburban. The full year, make and model list is in the Truck Compatibility tab on this page. How long before it ships?
It is a stock item and leaves our warehouse in 1-3 business days. Transit after that is typically 2-5 business days in the United States. Larger orders can arrive in more than one box on different days.
What if it is not right for the truck?
You have 30 days from delivery to return it by mail. Return shipping is on you, and the part needs to come back uninstalled and unmodified - once a panel has been trimmed or welded it cannot go back. Made-to-order items are final sale. The full terms are on our returns page.
Can I install this myself?
It is designed for a home install with ordinary hand tools, and the fitment notes on this page list anything that needs drilling, trimming or welding. Where an installation guide or video exists for the part it is linked in the Installation tab.

abs headliner is top quality and easy to install
The headliner has been installed yet. It looks good and appears it will fit good. Unfortunately my upholstery man died before the truck could be completed.
