Description
A six-piece trunnion and hinge set for the tailgate on a 1960–1966 Chevy or GMC pickup. It replaces the zinc-plated originals that rust and get noisy, so the tailgate opens and closes quietly.
On a 1960-66 Chevy and GMC truck the tailgate hinges work every time the bed is opened, and once the original zinc plating gives up they rust and start making noise. Switching to stainless steel trunnions and hinge plates, with Delrin in the trunnions, keeps the tailgate quiet and puts rust out of the picture.

Is it a bolt-on?
Yes. It replaces the factory trunnions and goes on where the originals came off.
Will it quiet the tailgate down?
That is what it is for. The trunnions run on Delrin, so the gate opens and closes quietly instead of grinding, and the metal parts are stainless steel or billet aluminum, so they do not rust.
Is mounting hardware included?
It depends on the kit - the Features list on this page says whether hardware is included, optional or reused from your truck.
What does the stepside version include?
The trunnion bushing only. It is used with your stock tailgate bracket.
