Metal tailgate straps rattle, rust and take the paint off the gate with them. These cables are a direct replacement for the factory straps on a 1982–1994 Chevy or GMC S10, and they go quiet.
If you are freshening up the bed on a 1982-94 Chevy or GMC S10, the tailgate straps are an easy place to start. The cables mount where the old metal straps were and hold the gate when it is folded down, without the clatter you hear every time the truck hits a bump. With the straps gone, there is nothing left rubbing the paint off the edges of the gate.

What if it is not right for the truck?
You have 30 days from delivery to request a return. The part needs to come back new, uninstalled and in its original packaging - once a part has been trimmed or welded it cannot go back.
