Description
An Altman Easy Latch kit built for one specific combination: 1952–1954 Chevrolet truck doors hung on a 1947–1951 cab. The jamb plates are contoured to meet the earlier cab structure while lining up with the later door geometry, so the doors shut and latch consistently instead of rattling, hanging up or needing a slam.
Features
- Bolt-on rotary claw latch system with case-hardened internal claws.
- Hybrid-fit jamb plates for the 1952–54 door on 1947–51 cab combination.
- Works with the factory exterior and interior handles and the original door lock cylinders.
- Zinc plated components for corrosion resistance.
- Everything needed for two doors: latches, jamb plates, striker plates, stainless steel striker bolts, templates, hardware and detailed instructions.
Fitment notes
This kit is only for a 1952–1954 door on a 1947–1951 cab. It will not work correctly on a stock, unmodified truck. The two generations use different exterior handles — turn style on 1947–51, push button on 1952–54 — which is why a mixed build needs latch parts drawn from both kits.
The latch does not lock from inside the cab. For that you need power lock actuators plus optional lock kit OLB-101.
