Description
A 23 gallon aluminum fuel tank for 1947–1953 GMC and Chevy trucks. It is laser cut, formed and TIG welded, with internal baffles to keep the fuel from sloshing and a sump for an in-tank fuel pump.

- Internal baffles and a fuel pump sump.
- American made, inspected and pressure tested for leaks.
- Takes Holley Sniper cam style fuel pumps and tube style sending units with the 5-bolt hole pattern. Pump and sending unit not included.
Fitment notes
- Compatible with a factory chassis once the rear cross member is removed.
- Direct bolt-in for trucks running 4-link suspension.
- Direct bolt-in on a TCI chassis.
- Factory chassis trucks with rear leaf springs need the mounting tabs trimmed to clear the leaf spring mount.
- 1954-55 first series 3100 chassis require a spacer to mount correctly.

Installation
Check the dimension image and read the installation instructions before you order. Mounting hardware is not included, and neither is the fuel pump or the sending unit.
On a factory chassis the rear cross member has to come out, and if the truck is still on rear leaf springs the mounting tabs need trimming to clear the leaf spring mount. A 1954-55 first series 3100 chassis needs a spacer to mount correctly.

What if it is not right for the truck?
You have 30 days from delivery to return it by mail. Return shipping is on you, and the part needs to come back uninstalled and unmodified - once a part has been trimmed or welded it cannot go back. Made-to-order items are final sale. The full terms are on our returns page.
Can I install this myself?
It is designed for a home install with ordinary hand tools, and the fitment notes on this page list anything that needs drilling, trimming or welding. Where an installation guide or video exists for the part it is linked in the Installation tab.

This tank is an absolutely beautiful piece of art work, built very well. Would fit in the stock frame perfectly! I have a Roadster Shop chassis, so had to do some slight modifications but still very happy with it. Would definitely recommend, also Chris was very easy to deal with and helped me out a lot along the way! I will absolutely be purchasing again from LS Fab and suggest you do too!
