1973-87 Squarebody Truck Bed Parts
Squarebody beds rust at the stake pockets and the tailgate falls apart at the cables, so this department is built around those two problems. Tailgate cables for 73-87, saver shocks, the cable / saver combo for 67-87, trunnion / hinge kits and a latch kit for 76-87 cover the gate; the stake pocket delete for 67-87 covers the bed sides, and it is a delete rather than a patch because on most of these trucks the pocket is past saving.
The Tail Light Fuel Filler Kit for 73-91 moves the fill point behind the tail light, and the inside box panel fuel filler for 67-87 puts it inside the bed instead — both exist because the factory filler sits in the bed side, right where a lowered truck shows it. There are two gas filler deletes split at 1978/79 to close the original hole. Wheel tubs, tilt bed scissor hinges and electric tilt bed lifts handle the bigger bed changes.
