Altman Door Latches

Factory door and hood latches on these trucks are decades-old mechanical parts, and worn latches mean doors that don’t close solid or hoods that rattle. Altman’s Easy Latch kits replace the factory mechanism with a modern, smoother-operating unit built to bolt into the existing door or hood structure. This collection covers door latches for 1947-51, 52-54, 55-59, 60-63, 64-66, and 67-72 Chevy and GMC trucks, plus 67-72 Ford. We also carry Altman hood latch kits (47-54 Chevy, 67-72 Ford), billet striker plates, and a striker block upgrade for tightening up door closure without a full latch swap. If you’re running a mismatched cab and door combination — 47-51 doors on a 52-54 cab, or the reverse — we also carry door-swap latch kits built specifically for that fitment mismatch.
