Description
The Phantom Billet Dash rebuilds the face of a 1947–1953 Chevrolet or GMC Advance Design dash in machined billet, with a double DIN opening for a modern head unit. Every piece is CNC milled from 6061 aluminum and comes in a machined finish.
Features
- All pieces CNC milled from 6061 aluminum in a machined finish.
- Extended speaker grille cover takes a double DIN head unit and deletes the ash tray.
- All required mounting hardware included.
- Instructions and hole templates are in the installation tab.
In the kit
- Billet glove box door.
- Billet extended double DIN speaker grille cover.
- Billet gauge split piece.
- Billet driver side dash piece.
- Pioneer ADT-VA133 double DIN receiver installation kit.
- Stainless steel LS Fab glove box latch.
- Stainless hardware: 10-32 screws for the glove box door and latch, 8-32 allen head studs and serrated flange nuts for the billet pieces, and an allen key for the speaker grille studs.
Fitment notes
Four holes have to be drilled in the dash, two behind each of the new pieces on the driver side of the speaker grille. The gauge split piece is shaped to cover the original offset column indent, so the truck needs a drop column.

Installation
This one is not a straight bolt-in. Four holes need to be drilled in the dash, two behind each of the new pieces on the driver side of the speaker grille.
The gauge split piece covers the original offset steering column indent, so the dash is meant for a truck running a drop column. Instructions and templates for the install are in the installation tab.

Phantom Double Din Billet Dash - 47-53 GMC / Chevy Truck
Common questions
Will my radio fit the opening?
The slotted holes take factory post radios and the popular classic-style Bluetooth radios, including the ones we sell. A radio with a non-standard shaft spacing may still need the openings finished by hand - the panel is 18 gauge steel, so opening a hole is straightforward.
Is it pre-bent to the dash?
Yes, it is laser cut and pre-bent to the dash contour. It is meant to be a do-it-yourself repair for a dash that has already been cut for a single DIN player.
How do I know it fits my truck?
This part is listed for 1947–1953 Chevy and GMC 3100, 3600, 3800 and Suburban. The full year, make and model list is in the Truck Compatibility tab on this page. If your truck has been modified, or you are between two of the year ranges we list, send us the year, make and model and we will confirm the fit before you order rather than after.
What if it is not right for the truck?
You have 30 days from delivery to return it by mail. Return shipping is on you, and the part needs to come back uninstalled and unmodified - once a panel has been trimmed or welded it cannot go back. Made-to-order items are final sale. The full terms are on our returns page.
