About 1954 Truck Parts

1954 brought the biggest visual change Advance Design ever got: a one-piece curved windshield in place of the split screen, a new grille and a revised dash. If you are ordering glass, seals or dash parts, 1954 is the year that does not share with 1947-53.

Sheet metal below the beltline carries over, so firewalls, floor sections and bed panels still fit the earlier trucks. Ford F100 parts cover cab panels, billet hardware and RainGear hidden wiper systems.

The 1954 Chevy truck line was the 3100 half-ton, 3600 three-quarter-ton and 3800 one-ton, plus Panel, Suburban and Canopy Express bodies. Under the hood, the 235 six became standard, and 1954 was the first year a Hydra-Matic automatic was offered. Advance Design carried on into the 1955 first series before the Task Force trucks arrived; the Chevy 3100 guide and the 1955 first vs second series guide explain the split.
